Shops, cafes etc that were open in Galway City on Saturday 21 March 2020

All pubs and clubs, and many shops, cafes and restaurants in Galway City are closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But some are still open, usually with more limited conditions or hours than usual.

Below is a list of city-centre businesses that were open, as at 21-March-2020.    It's based on what I saw during a walk in my neighbourhood today - and of course things may change tomorrow.
  • Almost every place that is open has a limit on how many people can be inside at once.  For some, it's only one customer, others wait outside.
  • Some shops say card-payments preferred.   Others are only accepting tapped card (or other device) payments.
  • Most are opening for limited hours only.
