Waiting staff, bar staff, catering staff and chefs are wanted to work at the Galway Races from Monday, July 27 to Sunday, August 2, 2026.

These jobs are at Ballybrit Racecourse.  This large events venue is on the east side of the city.  You can get there on  the 409-An Páirc Mór and 401-Parkmore  buses.

Lydon House is a long-established catering and hospitality-staffing company, who have an annual contract to supply the race-course.  They also run some restaurants.

A Luggage transfer co-ordinator and driver is wanted to assist guests on cycling tours in Ireland.  It is based at West End Cycles in Raven's Terrace - near Spice India.

Training will be provided, however you must:

• Have a full, clean Irish driving license, and be able to work well with the team
• Have fluent English 
• Be friendly and professional 
• Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends 
• be physically capable of lifting and loading bicycles and eBikes.

 A part-time (0-20 hours) or full-time (26-32 hours) cafe staff-member is wanted Java French Creperie in Upper Abbeygate St, just up from Dungeons and Donuts.

Experience in a similar job, involving barista and food service, is necessary. 

Srong work ethic, multi-tasking and decision-making skills, organizational skills and customer care experience  are also wanted.  Flexible availability and being a team-player are essential. 

Speaking French is an advantage, but is not essential.

This is a minimum contract of six months.

Temporary staff (probably retail assistants) are required at the Ashford Collections shop, which sellfs gifts, home-furniture and lighting.

This family-owned-and-operated shop is in the Galway Shopping Centre, near Supermacs. They have had "closing down" signs up for several months now - but a closing date hasn't been announced to the public.

This job is full-time (35+ hours per week), and gives the chance to practice your computer and language skills.

Fast-food restaurant staff

A range of jobs (team member, kitchen assistant, general manager shift-leader) are now being advertised for the Sprout restaurant which is due to open in Eyre Square.   (Opening date hasn't been given yet, the restaurant is still being fitted now.)

Some jobs are full time (by which they mean permanent, beyond September) and some part time (probably meaning summer only).

They want people who can deliver warm, human interactions to helping the team keep the place humming, people who care about people, pace, and good food.

Pay for a team-member is €14.15–€14.50 per hour depending on experience.

They say "You don’t need experience for this role,  we’ll teach you everything you need to know. What matters most is your attitude and willingness to learn."  But you must:

• Have a good level of English, to understand instructions and communicate with customers and the team.
• Be curious and willing to learn
• Turn up on time and take pride in doing a good job.
