Shop assistant / project worker

A bicycle shop co-ordinator is wanted by An Mheitheal Rothar.   This social-enterprise was set up by people from the NUIG Ecology department, and it is run by a board.   They have a workshop in NUIG, and a shop / community-workshop in Galway Shopping Centre.

Essential requirements include 5 years professional bicycle maintenance experience, and 2 years retail / customer service experience, as well as administrative, leadership and budgeting skills.

The job includes all aspects of running the shop, supervising volunteers / other staff, managing health and safety in the shop / workshop and at off-site events.

Initially this is a contract until the end of August 2021.  Full-time hours, working 5 days per week between Monday - Saturday.  

Pay starts at €12.30 per hour. They say "rate negotiable depending on relevant experience & qualifications" but it is likely funded by a grant, so there may not be much room for flexibility.
